1 How to Get e-Tendering Digital Signature Certificate?

2 How to register for e-tendering?
The registration Process is divided into 3 parts:
First the user fills in some credentials. Theses are then submitted in order to create the account on the e-Tendering platform. Finally within 30 days after the creation of the account, the user registered has to login and provide the activation code sent by email to confirm the creation of the account. All the account inactivated will be erased after 30 days. Once the account is activated, the registered user can access the e-Tendering services by only providing the username and password in the login page.

A digital signature or digital signature scheme is a type of cryptography that authenticates documents in electronic form in the same way as a handwritten signature authenticates hard copy documents. Digital signature certificates (DSC) are the digital equivalent (that is electronic format) of physical or paper certificates. Examples of physical certificates are drivers' licenses, passports or membership cards.
The Digital Signature Certificates utilized in India effectively serve as the digital equivalent of a hand written signature which has extra data attached electronically to any message or document. Digital Signature also ensures that no alterations are made to the data once the document has been digitally signed. A DSC is normally valid for 1 or 2 years, after which it can be renewed. Digital signatures are easily transportable, cannot be imitated by someone else, and can be automatically time-stamped. Furthermore, the ability to ensure that the original signed message arrived means that the sender cannot easily repudiate it later.
All DSCs contain the digital signature of the certificate-issuing authority so that anyone can verify that the certificate is real.
